La
Voie Verte
The adventure of the Voie Verte began in 1996 with the planning of the old railway line. It then ran between Givry and Cluny. Now this clean, safe trail reserved for roller skaters, cyclists and pedestrians covers some 120 km, from Charnay-lès-Mâcon to the Canal du Centre near to Digoin.
Fifteen loops have been built from the Voie Verte which will enable you to discover neighbouring villages and landscapes. Fifteen to thirty kilometres long, they offer detours to the tourist attractions near the Voie Verte.
Access to the Voie Verte is very easy from Cluny: just go to the old railway station.
During your stay you can easily organise an outing along the Voie Verte since two bicycle and roller skate-hire firms have opened in the commune.
A guide to the Voie verte, containing all the practical and tourist information, is at free disposal at the Tourist Office.
